Accessibility Statement
Last updated: July 5, 2026
The Authenticity Formula is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. As an Ontario-based organization, we align our accessibility practices with the standards set out under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and the Ontario Human Rights Code.
Our Commitment
We believe that access to our services, published research, and information about cultural authenticity should be available to as many people as possible, regardless of ability or the technology used to browse the web. We are guided by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the technical standard referenced under Ontario's Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR) and widely recognized across Canada as an accessibility best practice.
Measures We Take
To support accessibility on culturalauthenticity.com, we:
-
Provide descriptive alternative text for meaningful images
-
Ensure sufficient color contrast between text and background
-
Structure content using clear, sequential headings for screen reader navigation
-
Design interactive elements (buttons, links, accordions) to be operable by keyboard alone
-
Use semantic HTML so assistive technologies can correctly interpret page structure
-
Review new pages and content updates for accessibility before publishing
-
Rely on Wix's built-in accessibility tools and ongoing platform improvements as part of our technical foundation
Our Obligations Under the AODA
The AODA sets out accessibility standards across five areas, including Information and Communications and Customer Service. Consistent with these standards, we are committed to:
-
Communicating with people with disabilities in ways that consider their disability
-
Providing information in accessible formats or with appropriate communication supports, upon request
-
Considering accessibility criteria when designing, procuring, or acquiring self-service kiosks or digital tools (where applicable)
-
Reviewing and updating our practices as our organization grows and as AODA standards evolve
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some content on this site may not yet be fully accessible. This can include:
-
Older content published before an accessibility review was completed
-
Third-party embedded content or tools not fully within our control
-
PDF documents or downloadable files that have not yet been converted to accessible formats
We are actively working to identify and correct these gaps.
Ongoing Efforts
Accessibility is not a one-time fix but an ongoing responsibility. We periodically review our site content, structure, and design against current accessibility standards, and we update this statement as improvements are made.
Feedback and Accessible Formats
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of culturalauthenticity.com, and we will accommodate requests for information in accessible formats or with communication supports, upon request, as required under the AODA.
